Host Homes
At the Student Basic Needs Coalition (SBNC), we’re committed to tackling housing insecurity for college students.
Our Host Homes Program is an innovative initiative that connects students experiencing housing instability with vetted community members who are able to provide temporary housing. This cost-efficient, student-centered model ensures students have a safe, supportive place to stay without the need for expensive emergency shelters or transitional housing programs.​

We are currently in the planning phase of the Host Homes Program, with plans to launch our first training sessions in Fall 2025.

Our goal is to equip students, campuses, and local communities with the tools to successfully implement this program, providing relief to students in need while fostering strong, supportive networks.
